Laurel Ridge Community College is dedicated to helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom. With free resources ranging from academic advising and tutoring, to mental health care and career services, the college ensures students have the tools they need to thrive.

Academic success begins with strong support, and Laurel Ridge’s Advising Services guide students through course selection, registration, and long-term planning—whether earning a degree, transferring, or exploring careers. For extra help, the Tutoring Center offers free one-on-one and group sessions in subjects like math, writing, and science. Tutoring is available in person and online for flexibility. Our Career Services staff help students explore career paths, build resumes, practice interviews, and connect with employers through job fairs, workshops, and coaching.

Mental health is a priority at Laurel Ridge. Through TimelyCare, students receive free, 24/7 telehealth services, including counseling (up to six sessions per year), psychiatry referrals, and self-care resources like meditation and yoga—all accessible nationwide. Parenting students can use The Cub House, a child-friendly lounge offering a safe, quiet space to balance academics and family life.

College is more than classes—it’s about community. Student Life organizes events, clubs, and leadership opportunities, from cultural celebrations and volunteer work to student government and recreational activities. Laurel Ridge also fosters an inclusive campus through its TRiO and Office of Accommodations and Disability Services, ensuring equity for all students. Eligible adult learners can access free Adult Education Programs to earn a GED, improve literacy, or gain workforce skills. These services provide a supportive path for those returning to school or advancing their careers. Preparing for life after college is also a key focus.

Navigating finances and enrollment is easier with help from Financial AidBusiness, and Enrollment Services staff. These offices guide students through applications, tuition, and registration to remove barriers. Veterans and active-duty military members – and their qualified dependents – receive specialized support through Military and Veterans Services, which assist with benefits, advising, and transitioning to civilian life. Libraries provide research databases, study spaces, books for reading, and technology support. Students can borrow laptops, access online learning tools, and get help with software.

Laurel Ridge Community College goes beyond academics to support students in every aspect of their college experience. Whether you’re a recent high school graduate, a working adult, or a parent balancing family and education, Laurel Ridge offers resources designed to help you succeed. Take advantage of these services—they’re here for you.
