When beginning your academic journey at Laurel Ridge Community College, it can be a challenge to know what resources are available and how to access them, so we put together a quick reference of the resources to help you navigate the process and answer any questions.

Complete Your AcademicWorks Application

All students are strongly encouraged to complete the General Application in AcademicWorks.

Complete Your FAFSA

We advise all students planning to complete a degree or certificate at Laurel Ridge CC to apply for Financial Aid. Just by completing the FAFSA, we are able to determine your eligibility for:

  • Federal Grants
  • Federal Loan
  • Federal Work-study
  • State Grants
  • Some Scholarships

Apply for Community Scholarships

Scholarship opportunities from local, regional, and national organizations are frequently shared with us. When selected, the organization would send the funds to the Business Office to be applied to your account.

Use Your Veterans Benefits

We are proud to serve veterans and their families, and work to go above and beyond to ensure their academic needs are met.

Use Your Education Savings Plan (529)

Using your Education Savings Plan to pay for your educational expenses, this is considered a Third-Party Billing.

Apply for a Payment Plan

Tuition payment plans spread out college tuition into installments so you can pay over the course of the semester instead of making one lump sum payment upfront. They can also be a great alternative to borrowing loans.

Other Payment Information

Tuition amount and account balances for the current semester are posted in the Student Information System (SIS). You will also receive reminders of upcoming payment deadlines by email and phone, be sure to keep your contact information current in SIS.
