So…you’re interested in becoming a Student Leader at Laurel Ridge?

That’s fabulous news! We have opportunities for students to get involved in anything that motivates them.

Here are some ways to get involved:

Be a Student Ambassador and Serve the College

The Student Ambassadors serve as the face of the College. They develop and promote interest, pride, and participation in the growth of the College, and increase the feeling of loyalty, service-driven partnership, and fellowship between the institution, students, alumni, and the community. In doing so, the members represent the College in numerous events throughout the year.

Student Ambassadors help with all Student Life & Engagement events, leadership programming, outreach in the community, and so much more. Plus, it’s a great program to build on your leadership and communication skill set!

Represent the Students of Laurel Ridge on the Student Government Association

This group serves as the voice of the students. They sit on Laurel Ridge’s governing committees with faculty and staff and provide feedback and votes that represent what students want. They are in charge of approving and overseeing clubs and organizations. For more info, visit the Student Government Association page.

Join a Club or Organization or Start Your Own

After looking through the list, is there still something missing? Any student can start their own club or org. Building something from the ground up looks good on a resume and feels good because you are contributing to your community through engagement! Almost any club is possible! You only need 5 people to start a club and there are ways we can help you find those people. Please email [email protected]. We are excited and happy to help you make this happen!
