How to Apply / Use Benefits
- Initial VA benefit application or update your school on file in the VA system
- Provide benefit documentation to Laurel Ridge Military and Veteran Services, [email protected]
- Certificate of Eligibility
- If benefit application is complete, you may Download VA education letter
- Submit Laurel Ridge VA certification request form
- Send official transcripts
- Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy
- Air Force
- All college transcripts
- Make an appointment with
- Military Benefits Official, Sharon Painter
- Veteran Academic Advisor, Jeanmarie Corrado
- Enroll in courses required for VA approved degree/certificate
- Pay tuition and fees. Effective Fall 2025, students are required to pay in full or have a payment plan in place by the standard posted payment deadlines. Students utilizing Chapter 1606 and Federal Tuition Assistance, such as Army TA, are not required to pay in full and not held to the standard payment deadline.
- Attend and complete the course(s)
- Verify enrollment with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Stipend Information
- Benefit pays a monthly stipend to student based on days of enrollment.

| Full Time (12+ credits) | $481.00 |
| ¾ time (9-11 credits) | $361.00 |
| ½ time (6-8 credits) | $241.00 |
| Less than ½ more than 1/4 time | $241.00 |

Financial Information
- Student is responsible for all tuition, fees and books
