What to Expect

Participants will enjoy a guided bird hike on the Laurel Ridge trails. The terrain is mostly flat, though trails may be muddy, particularly after recent rain.

What to Wear and Bring

Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes suitable for soft or muddy ground. Consider bringing layers, rain gear, water, and binoculars if you have them.

Weather & Cancellations

The hike will be canceled in the event of heavy rain or extreme weather.

Focus of the Hike

The hike will emphasize local breeding birds, with opportunities to observe other species as they arise. Participants should be prepared to be outdoors for the duration of the hike.
