How to use Marine Tuition Assistance at Laurel Ridge

Marine Tuition Assistance (TA) is managed through Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center
TA only covers the cost of tuition. Students are responsible for all fees, software and textbooks.
Service Members should speak to their Educational Services Officer or counselor within their service prior to enrolling at the college.
Federal TA can be used at the same time as Chapter 1606.
TA must be fully approved 7 days prior to the start of the courses.
TA can be used at the same time as Financial Aid FAFSA

Apply and complete all steps: US Navy Education Portal
Send official transcripts
- Marines
- All college transcripts
Meet with Sharon Painter, Military Benefits Official, [email protected]
Meet with Jeanmarie Corrado, Veteran Academic Advisor, [email protected]
Enroll in approved classes required for your degree plan.
Check Degree progress by reviewing your academic advising report >>MyLaurelridge>>SIS>> Academic Records >>My Academic Records
Provide TA authorization to Sharon Painter or [email protected]
Submit Laurel Ridge VA certification request form
Pay balance. TA only pays for tuition. Student is responsible for any fees, software and textbooks.
Attend and complete the course(s)

Tuition Assistance is paid directly to Laurel Ridge
With tuition authorization on file, a financial indicator is placed on student account, notifying the Laurel Ridge business office of pending TA payment.
Tuition balance will remain on student account until Laurel Ridge invoices Navy College portal. Student will not be dropped for nonpayment while payment is pending.
Student is responsible for all fees and books. For options, please visit payment methods
Reductions in enrollment may cause a debt to student
