Student Volunteer Opportunities

Allied Community Team (A.C.T.)

A.C.T. is an organization for students interested in community action- activities that increase understanding, engagement, and empowerment of communities in the delivery of local services. We will be engaged in a variety of projects this year which benefit various non-profits in our service area including animal rescue organizations, domestic violence shelters, food banks, and more.

Volunteering has several benefits. A few things participants can expect to gain include:

  • Work experience/ skills
  • Increased social network
  • Improved community wellness
  • Sense of accomplishment
  • Job resume/ university application content
  • Involvement in fun learning opportunities

Look for flyers around campus and on the event calendar. Sign for informational emails about upcoming projects here.
