Benefit Information

  • Navy College Program
  • Tuition Assistance (TA) only covers the cost of tuition. Students are responsible for all fees and textbooks.
  • Service members should speak to their Educational Services Officer or counselor within their service prior to enrolling at the college.
  • Federal TA cannot be used at the same time as Chapter 1606.
  • TA must be fully approved prior to the start of the courses.
  • TA can be used at the same time as Financial Aid FAFSA

How to Apply / Use Benefits

Service members should speak to their Education Services Officer or counselor prior to enrolling at the college.

  1. Apply and complete all steps: US Navy Education Portal
  2. Send official military transcripts
    • Navy
    • All college transcripts
  3. Meet with Jeanmarie Corrado, Veteran Academic Advisor, [email protected]
  4. Meet with Sharon Painter, Military Benefits Official, [email protected]
  5. Enroll in classes required for degree
  6. Check Degree progress by reviewing your academic advising report >>MyLaurelridge>>SIS>>My Student Information>> Academic Records>>My Academic Records
  7. Provide proof of authorization to Sharon or email to [email protected]
  8. Submit Laurel Ridge Online VA certification request form
  9. Pay balance. TA only pays for tuition.  Student is responsible for any fees, software or textbooks.
  10. Attend and complete the course(s)

Tuition/Fees/Books

  • Tuition Assistance is paid directly to Laurel Ridge
  • Student is responsible for all fees and books.
  • Reductions in enrollment may cause a debt to student
  • TA can be used at the same time as Financial Aid FAFSA
