Benefit Information

How to Apply / Use Benefits

  1. Initial VA benefit application or update your school on file in the VA system
  2. Submit to Laurel Ridge Veteran Services one of the two documents:
    • Certificate of Eligibility, or
    • Ebenefits screen shot showing full benefit information
  3. Submit Laurel Ridge VA certification request form
  4. Send official transcripts
  5. Make an appointment with
    • Military Benefits Official, Sharon Painter
    • Veteran Academic Advisor, Jeanmarie Corrado
  6. Enroll in courses required for VA approved degree or certificate
  7. Pay tuition and fees
  8. Attend and complete the course(s)
  9. Verify enrollment on the last day of every month to VA
    • Call 1-877-823-2378 or
    • WAVE

BAH/Monthly Housing Allowance

Enrollment Monthly rate*
Full Time (12+ credits) $1913.00
¾ time (9-11 credits) $1434.75
½ time (6-8 credits) $956.50
Less than ½ (4-5 credits) $956.50
¼ time or less (1-3 credits) $478.25

Financial Information

  • Student is responsible for all tuition, fees and books
  • Students are required to obtain funding or pay full balance prior to the start of the term
  • Students using military education benefits can also use financial aid (FAFSA)
