How to Apply / Use Benefits

  1. Initial VA benefit application or update your school on file in the VA system
  2. Submit Certificate of Eligibility to Laurel Ridge Military and Veteran Services, [email protected]
  3. Submit Laurel Ridge VA certification request form
  4. Send official transcripts
  5. Make an appointment with
    • Military Benefits Official, Sharon Painter
    • Veteran Academic Advisor, Jeanmarie Corrado
  6. Enroll in courses required for VA approved degree or certificate
  7. Pay tuition and fees. Effective Fall 2025, students are required to pay in full or have a payment plan in place by the standard posted payment deadlines.
  8. Attend and complete the course(s)
  9. Student must verify school enrollment with VA by phone or online each month

BAH/Monthly Housing Stipend

Enrollment Monthly rate*
Full Time (12+ credits) $2518.00
¾ time (9-11 credits) $1888.50
½ time (6-8 credits) $1259.00
Less than ½ (4-5 credits) $1259.00**
¼ time or less (1-3 credits) $629.50**

*information based on 3 or more years of service and VA pay rate table MGIB-AD education benefit effective October 1, 2025

** If you are enrolled less than 1/2 time, VA will pay up to the amount listed here for every month of enrollment, but no more than cost of tuition and fees.

Financial Information

  • Student is responsible for all tuition, fees and books
