With the fear and uncertainty that revolves around the FAFSA, Laurel Ridge’s Financial Aid Office is offering FAFSA help to make it less stressful for students. At these Scary FAFSA events, the Financial Aid team will assist students and their families complete the 2025-26 FAFSA application! 

We will have dinner and oh course candy for these events. To ensure we have enough, please complete the RSVP form below:

Can’t make a Scary FAFSA Night? Have no fear, the Financial Aid Office is happy to assist you. You can walk-in during our normal office hours below. Please allow at least 1hr to complete a FAFSA, see what you need to complete the application here. If you would like a virtual appointment, you can book one here.

What You Need to Know About Financial Aid Video

What will I need to fill out the FAFSA?

To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), you will need:

  • Your Social Security Number
  • Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
  • Your 2023 federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the Future Act Direct Data Exchange
    (FA-DDX)
  • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
  • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
  • An FSA ID to sign electronically-This must be created at least 3-5 business days before completing the FAFSA to allow the identity authentication to be completed. If not, you will have to wait to complete the application.

If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).

Changes for 24-25

There are major changes and improvements coming to the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. This redesigned and streamlined FAFSA form will be available by Dec. 31, 2023.
