Robotics and automation technologies are transforming manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, healthcare, and other industries. Laurel Ridge’s Industrial Robotics and Automation program prepares students for entry-level careers operating, programming, and supporting robotic and automated production systems in today’s advanced manufacturing environments.
Through hands-on training, students gain experience working with industrial robots, automation equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, industrial networking technologies, and smart manufacturing systems. Students also learn robotics programming, automation safety procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and manufacturing work cell operations.
The program introduces key technologies used by modern manufacturers, including robotics systems, human machine interfaces (HMI), ladder logic, industrial communications, and automated production processes. Students develop the practical skills needed to improve efficiency, support automated operations, and work alongside robotic systems in real-world manufacturing environments.
Graduates are prepared for careers such as robotics operator, automation operator, manufacturing operator, and other advanced manufacturing roles. Students may also earn industry-recognized credentials in robotics, smart manufacturing, and workplace safety while building a pathway toward continued education in automation, mechatronics, and manufacturing technology.
