The purpose of the journalism club for students to learn the basic elements of journalism: planning articles, interviewing, writing, and online publication by writing about their college, the students, faculty, administrators, and community.
The club will publish its articles in an online newspaper, The Lion’s Pride. Articles will help to unify the student body and community at the college’s Fauquier campus by presenting articles about events, social activities, clubs, sports, trips, recitals, and anything that is done by the student body for other students. The focus of the newspaper is to channel students towards success.
