Free tuition for Credit Courses:

  • 60 years of age or older.
  • A  legal resident of Virginia.
  • Income not exceeding $23,850 for Virginia tax purposes for the year preceding the semester in which enrollment is sought. 
    • You must provide a copy of the previous year’s Virginia tax return if you are seeking academic credit.

Free tuition for Audit of Credit Courses:

  • 60 years of age or older 
  • A legal resident of Virginia for one year or more prior to the start of the term. Supporting documentation may be required.

1. Apply for Admission

Identity Verification: In order to provide a safe and secure learning environment, admission to our colleges require that all new credit applicants verify their identity. Applicants will need access to a computer or mobile device that has a camera in order to provide a real-time photo of themself (Liveness Check) and upload a photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, ID Card, etc.).

Save your assigned Student ID number and MyLaurelRidge username

  • Past students
    • 3 years or less – Call for username password 
    • More than 3 years – Reapply 

2. Establish Your MyLaurelRidge Account

  • Log in using the user name you received upon completing and submitting your application.
  • Establish your Multi-Factor Authentication. For multi-factor authentication (MFA) options, set-up guides, and videos, see laurelridge.edu/mfastudent. For Dual Enrollment students, see laurelridge.edu/mfadual for equivalent MFA resources. For assistance with setting up or troubleshooting MFA, please email [email protected]. If you are unable to access your MyLaurelRidge account, please contact the Enrollment Services Office at 540-868-7110 and they can assist you with your account and password recovery issues.
