A rewarding nursing career may be closer than you think. The conversation highlighted a common misconception that becoming a nurse requires four years of education at a university. Through Laurel Ridge’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program, students can complete their education and become eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam in about two years. Graduates are entering a field with strong demand and excellent employment opportunities throughout the region.
The episode also introduced Laurel Ridge’s new weekend RN cohort, launching in spring 2027. Designed for working adults, the program combines online coursework with weekend labs, simulations, and clinical experiences, making it possible for students to continue working while pursuing their nursing degree.
