Heather S. Cole is a public historian and writer living in Staunton, Virginia. Cole has worked in a variety of museums and archives in Virginia and Massachusetts and is currently the archivist for the Southern Foodways Alliance. She also runs a small business ghostwriting, editing and publishing local histories, travelogues and memoirs. "Virginia's Presidents: A History & Guide" is her third book for The History Press.
