Cara Achterberg is the author of seven books, including Another Good Dog: One Family and Fifty Foster Dogs. Her most recent novel, Blind Turn, won the Women’s Fiction category of the American Writing Awards. She is also the cofounder of Who Will Let the Dogs Out, a national nonprofit that raises awareness and resources for shelter dogs and the people who fight for them. She lives in Maurertown, Virginia with her husband, three rescue dogs and a rotating cast of foster dogs and cats.
