The event is open to high school and college students interested in accounting careers.

High school and college students considering a future in accounting are invited to Accounting Student Night from 5-8 p.m., Thursday Sept. 28, in the Carl and Emily Thompson Conference Center in the Corron Community Development Center on Laurel Ridge’s Middletown Campus.

The college is partnering with the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA) Shenandoah Valley Chapter to offer this event for students for the second year in a row. There will be an employer panel, speakers, an opportunity to network, door prizes and food.

“The event exceeded my expectations, providing invaluable insights into accounting careers,” said Timothy Johnson, who attended the accounting night in 2022. “The highlight of the evening was the speakers and the panel discussion, where the professionals’ depth of knowledge and passion illuminated the diverse career paths within accounting.”

Register to attend by Sept. 20, by visiting laurelridge.edu/vscpa. Learn more about the VSCPA at shenandoahvalley.vscpa.cpa.
