2011 - Intercollegiate Rugby Team
- The college becomes the first community college in Virginia to field an intercollegiate team with its rugby team. The program sees early success winning the Collegiate Conference and Virginia D-III State Championship in 2013.
- Laurel Ridge’s new mission statement is adopted: Laurel Ridge provides a positive, caring and dynamic learning environment that inspires student success, values diversity and promotes community vitality.
