In accordance with federal law, our adult education services are provided for individuals who are:
- U.S. Citizens or Nationals
- Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs/Green Card holders)
- Refugees
- Asylees
- Individuals granted parole for at least one year
- Conditional entrants
- Cuban/Haitian entrants
- Victims of trafficking with T-visa or other documented status
- Other eligible noncitizens as defined under 8 U.S.C. §1641
All adult students enrolling in our programs will be asked to provide one form of documentation verifying either citizenship or eligible immigration status.
For U.S. Citizens:
- U.S. Passport or Passport Card
- U.S. Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship
- Consular Report of Birth Abroad
- State-issued Driver’s License or ID card issued in compliance with REAL ID Act (Note: Standard driver’s licenses without REAL ID marking may be accepted only if accompanied by evidence of Social Security Number verification)
- Social Security Card (when combined with state-issued photo ID)
For Eligible Noncitizens:
- Permanent Resident Card (Green Card – Form I-551)
- Arrival-Departure Record (Form I-94) showing refugee, asylee, parole, or conditional entrant status
- Employment Authorization Document (EAD – Form I-766) with eligible category code
- Other DHS/USCIS documentation demonstrating qualifying status
