Fall classes will start in September 2026.
Laurel Ridge Community College Adult Education offers FREE classes that help adults prepare for GED® testing, as well as develop math, reading, and writing skills for employment, career advancement, and post-secondary education.
We offer on-going admission and are able to admit new students as long as space is available.
- FREE day and evening in-person classes.
- Group and individualized instruction in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.
- FREE GED® testing for enrolled students who meet minimum requirements.
- We also work with adults who already have a high school diploma, but need to improve their reading, writing, or math skills in preparation for college.
- Our classes are for adults (18+) only. Students aged 16-17 may be eligible with additional required documentation. Please do not bring children to class.
- ID verification is required for proof of eligibility for classes and for GED® testing.

We serve the City of Winchester and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren. If you are not in this region, contact us and we can direct you to a program in your area.
