Driven by her own story of addiction and recovery, Julie Funkhouser is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Recovery Connection, a substance use treatment center in Winchester, Virginia. She is also a Certified Reiki Master who finds bliss in the opportunity to share the gift of energy work and holistic healing with those around her while simultaneously focusing on her own spiritual growth and continued evolution. She is the co-author of two collaborative books with Brave Healer Productions, “Brave Kids” and “The Grief Experience.” Julie resides in Middletown, Virginia, with her boyfriend, Jimmy, and their five amazing children.
