During segregation in the 1960s, Ruth’s Tea Room in Winchester welcomed people of different races and from all walks of life to come together. Written by local playwright LaTasha Do’zia, Ruth’s Tea Room brings this local meeting place to life and illustrates the truth that there was room for everyone at Ruth’s. The play features actors portraying people who have gathered to share stories of their days spent at Ruth’s.
