Alma Katsu is an award-winning author whose books have been nominated for and won prestigious accolades such as the Stoker, International Thriller Writers, and Locus Magazine awards. Her work has appeared on numerous Best Books lists, including NPR, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon.
She is known for her gripping spy novels, RED WIDOW and RED LONDON, drawing from her 30+ years in the intelligence field, as well as historical horror fiction that blends supernatural elements, such as THE HUNGER (2018), a reimagining of the Donner Party, which has been celebrated as a modern horror classic. Her debut novel, THE TAKER (2011), was named a top debut of the year by Booklist.
In addition to writing, Katsu reviews thrillers for The Washington Post Book World. She currently resides in the mountains of West Virginia with her husband and their two dogs.
