ESL/EAL (English as a Second /Additional Language)

Laurel Ridge Community College prepares students to reach their personal, academic, and professional goals in the ESL programs Students can improve their English proficiency and cultural competence in a safe and supportive learning environment. 

ESL Programs include Fundamental ESL, Academic ESL Pathway, Workplace English, and ESP (English for Specific Purpose).

Academic ESL Pathway

The ESL/EAL classes teach English skills to students who pursue academic or career paths. Students can transition to a degree, certificate, or credential program at Laurel Ridge and transfer to a four-year college.
